All modes of delivery will study the same breakdown of modules, but over different durations听depending on if studying full time (on campus/online) or part time online.

Stages 1 and听2

You will develop a complete understanding of the main legal principles affecting Oil and Gas industry including maritime law, oil and gas law, environmental law, health and safety and renewable energy. You will gain in depth knowledge around contractual and commercial arrangements including contracts, mergers and acquisitions and dispute resolution.

Stage 3

You will present a written research proposal for submission. This will normally form the basis for the master's level dissertation. You will work independently but under tutorial supervision, to undertake the research and prepare the dissertation.

Learning Methods

Full Time On Campus Mode

You will learn through a combination of lectures, seminars and tutorial sessions. These comprise a mix of tutorial presentations, group study, discussion of findings by teams and/or individuals. Access to our virtual learning environment,听CampusMoodle, is also provided giving you access from home to learning materials (including e-books, journals and audio visual resources).

Online Students (full time and part time)

Students will study听through the university's virtual learning environment (VLE)听CampusMoodle.听You will be taught by a dedicated oil and gas law team of law lecturers and supported by 黑料不打烊's VLEs designed for on-campus students and those studying at a distance. You have the benefit of being part of a group of learners with the invaluable opportunity to participate in active, group-related learning within a supportive online community setting.

How long is an Oil, Gas and Renewable Energy Law course?
